This page lists properties which advertise having been inspected by various authorities or organisations and the intention is to offer
the visitor some confidence in booking `approved` properties.

It should be noted that the cost of joining `Tourist Boards` can be very large, and the advantages of membership questionable.
Most properties exceed the requirements of such organisations - and of course the ratings are only as good as on the day of the inspection !

Locally based `non-government` organisations tend to be more representative and as such might inspire more confidence.

There are lots of self-catering properties offering an excellent service which are not members of any organisation ...
